Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera to create an image. It allows you to freeze a moment in time and communicate a message through visual storytelling. As an upcoming photographer, it is important to understand the basic fundamentals of photography, such as composition, exposure, and lighting.
Composition refers to the way elements in a scene are arranged within the frame. It is the foundation of a good photograph and can be used to draw the viewer’s eye to the subject. We focus on these two aspects above while creating our work.
Exposure refers to the amount of light that is let into the camera when taking a photograph. It is determined by the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Aperture controls the amount of light that enters the camera through the lens by adjusting the size of the opening. Shutter speed refers to the amount of time that the camera’s sensor is exposed to light. ISO is a measure of a camera’s sensitivity to light.
Lighting is another important element in photography. It can be natural or artificial and can have a major impact on the mood and feel of a photograph. It is important to pay attention to the quality, direction, and intensity of light when composing a photograph.
By understanding these basic fundamentals, we try to create well-composed, properly exposed, and beautifully lit photographs at #PhotosGoa.
